Serving up operating efficiency for customer satisfaction

K-MAC Holdings Corp. is one of the leading quick-service restaurant franchisees in the South Central United States. The Company operates KFC, Taco Bell, Golden Corral and co-branded Taco Bell & KFC locations (“2n1s”). Olympus acquired K-Mac in 2004 when the company’s platform consisted of 147 locations.

The Olympus team assisted management in improving pricing, labor scheduling, and service attributes, resulting in a more profitable and customer-centric platform. K-MAC executed on multiple Taco Bell and KFC remodels and restarted new unit construction of Taco Bells, both of which resulted in impressive ROIs. In addition, K-MAC acquired multiple franchisees at attractive purchase prices and applied best practices to enhance same store sales and margin improvement.

K-MAC’s restaurant base grew from 147 to over 182 sites and the Company more than doubled EBITDA under Olympus ownership. K-MAC was sold in early 2011, returning more than eight times Olympus’ initial investment.
